Hello, I’m looking to rent a rural, detached building in the Newcastle / Northumberland / Durham area to relocate my recording studio. An unused barn, outbuilding, workshop, or similar space would be ideal. I have been in my current studio for 10 years and am only moving because I’d prefer a more rural environment rather than an industrial estate. The plan is to build a high-quality, soundproof recording studio, so I would need permission to carry out building work and fit-out (soundproofing, insulation, internal rooms, etc.). I am looking for a long-term rental and intend to be there for another 10 years or more. I’m reliable, respectful of the space, and happy to discuss any planning or lease considerations to make it work for both sides.
